Fusion is one of the most promising sources of green and limitless energy for the future. It does not produce long-lived by-products or greenhouse gases. This winter school is organized by the Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission, SESAME, The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, and the Arab Fusion Energy Initiative, hosted by the American University of Beirut. The goal is to spread knowledge about this strategic field among students and scientists. It will bring together students and early-career scientists from a variety of backgrounds, like mathematics, physics, and engineering, to learn about this cutting-edge field from Arab and non-Arab experts in this field.
We aim to empower the scientific community with fusion knowledge, foster collaboration, and position the region as a proactive player in the future of clean energy.

The school is intended for a maximum of 50 participants selected on merit.
Applications must be submitted online HERE and must include a CV and a Letter of Motivation.
For the accepted applicants, the total cost of accommodation and meals will be covered.
Travel must be organized and paid for by the participants. It is possible to ask for financial support to cover travel; the level of financial support will be indicated in the acceptance letter.
